This course is for students who want to progress onto University, a higher-level apprenticeship or into employment within a trainee management in Business. Past students have progressed into roles such as Marketing or HR Executives, Accountants and some have gone on to run their own successful businesses.
The course will involve you working as an individual and as part of a team. You will be involved in several projects where you can make use of Business terminology, business, and financial skills as well as leadership. This course involves practical application of research and analysis all concerning today’s business organisations and how they operate.
Employer links are embedded into the course, with regular masterclasses from local businesspersons, insight days and visits as well as opportunities to take part in mentoring sessions with a local businessperson.
You will learn more about marketing, human resources and financial techniques as well as managing events and business functions.
The Level 3 Extended Diploma is a two-year qualification, which will help you to develop the knowledge and skills needed in Business. If you have an interest in business and would like to learn about Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Entrepreneurship, this is the ideal course for you.
There is continual assessment for some of the units by vocational assignments
leading to external quality assessment called National Standard Sampling.
Units 2, 3, 6 & 7 are assessed by a nationally set exam.
This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are a resident in the UK and the European Economic Area or have been for the last 3 years. You must be under 19 years old on 31st August in the calendar year you start your course.
