A Level Spanish is a fascinating and varied subject that provides students with a broad and incredibly important range of knowledge and skills. In a world in which global relationships are often a necessity for businesses and organizations to thrive, having an additional language is extremely useful for a wide range of future careers.
The course develops your ability to communicate in the language and extends your knowledge of Spanish traditions, literature, cinema and history. There are plenty of chances to improve your authentic Spanish, as you will have small group conversation sessions each week with your teacher. Much of the work involves discussion and debate on important issues of interest to students; you will also have the opportunity to watch and analyze some Spanish feature films.

The subject complements a whole variety of other subjects. Indeed, many of our students’ progress onto Higher Education and take Spanish combined with subjects as diverse as Chemistry, Computer Science, Law or Marketing.

You could follow a language degree course at university, or any degree course and continuing language studies as subsidiary.Alternatively, students find immediate employment in the target-language country or make a job application in the future with the skill of speaking two or more languages.
