Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour. It is about understanding people. It is about understanding yourself. Psychology as a subject is like a jigsaw, and each piece of the jigsaw represents a different type of psychology.Psychologists have questions: Why did people obey Adolf Hitler? How is the human mind constructed? What is the importance of early life to our personality as young people? What is bipolar disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, anorexia nervosa? And having asked these questions, psychologists seek answers.
Psychology students are more than just students. They are psychologists themselves. They are explorers of the human mind and behaviour and apply these skills both in and outside of the classroom. Psychology is more than just a course it is a way of understanding the world.
