5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including a minimum of a grade 5 in English Language and 6 in Maths. For A Level Chemistry we are looking for applicants with a 6-6 in Combined Science or a 6 in GCSE Chemistry and either Biology or Physics. You must be passionate about Chemistry with a determination to succeed. In addition, it will be useful for you to study another Science or Maths at A level, although this is not compulsory.

An A level in chemistry offers progression to many science-based university courses, including Chemistry, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Forensic Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, and Veterinary Science, as well as many other non-science related degrees. There are also many apprenticeships for which chemistry A level would be an asset.
